“Passion, culture, heritage-future”
Lectures and workshops of disappearing professions
On 16th October 2018 two hundred thirty pupils and students of Nysa District visited Research and Education Centre of University of Applied Sciences in Nysa. They took part in information meeting and workshops within the framework of project named “Conservation of cultural and historical heritage through the restoration of monuments in Pokój Commune and educational activities in Opole Voivodship”. The project was carried out by University of Applied Sciences in Nysa in cooperation with Pokój Commune, the Commune Centre of Culture in Pokój, the Sport and Leisure Centre in Pokój, the Voivodship Office of Monuments Conservation in Opole and the Voivodship Labour Office in Opole.
The participants had the pleasure to see the professions, which are very unique or even forgotten. Moreover, the guests were encouraging students to follow their dreams and use them as an idea for business. After the meeting, the participants took part in workshops organized by Research and Development Centre for Renovation and Conservation and invited guests who prepared thematic stands of:
- Artistic handicraft of wicker
- Artistic handicraft of decoupage
